JOIN THE FIGHT TO SAVE OUR JOBS!
Protest Criminal Outsourcing Of Jobs At SBC
Protest On Feb 1,2 &3rd

This site is dedicated to the CWA represented employees of SBC in San Francisco. SBC, a Texas based Corporation is currently eliminating jobs in San Francisco by relocating work elsewhere. Although publicly evading the admission of SBC's intent to sell off prime office buildings in San Francisco, the company must first vacate the buildings. The elimination of our jobs in the City will ultimately bring hardship and inconvenience to both employees and customers of SBC, as well as the City and County of San Francisco. The total disregard by SBC of San Francisco in every way affects the loyalty of consumers and employees alike, shows unlike PacBell of yesterday , who cared beyond corporate expectations for the "community" it served, the company's only goal is to assure it's shareholders the dividends they expect. While at no time there is no dispute without the viability of SBC there would be no future for job security, there is a fine line when it comes to profits before people. In such a way, one may lose touch with what the actual point is in life. With the current tsunami tragedy still unfolding before our eyes, where do you draw focus to? Obviously, humane measures are priority; putting aside political and economical differences. But are political or economical differences being put aside?
In this world we live in presently, we have become too often accustom to "What's in it for me?" and to assume we as civilized human beings to be "humbled" by this recent disaster is yet to be be evaluated. In grasping what we all may think is in our control is the everyday notion that each day when we wake and go on our daily routines, ie; work, school, or whatever; we all give it little thought how little control we have of our "livelihood" or at least how likely it is to change at the blink of an eye. Such as the situation currently unfolding at SBC in San Francisco, where upwards to almost 1000 CWA represented employees are being relocated to various other work locations statewide, as far as Anaheim and Riverside to name a few.
To displace so many employees without regard to the impact it may put on an employee, his/her family, and personal affairs shows SBC's true colors.
The company has imposed their "one size fits all or nothing" attitude coast to coast. In an attempt to squeeze out every last drop of productivity out of its workforce is not a crime in itself. What is criminal is how SBC is imposing this action...So we are now desperately fighting and opposing the loss of our jobs in San Francisco and are asking our brothers and sisters to join in and fight along side one another against SBC.
